Our Origins
City of Perth Western Residents Inc was founded in September 2016 by Jane Boxall and Anna Vanderbom.
It was built on earlier advocacy identifying a need for a community voice as it became apprarent in 2015 that residents of the then South Ward of the City of Subiaco were to become part of the City of Perth.
The City of Perth Act 2016 came into effect on 1 July 2016 as City of Subiaco assessed the impact of the decision and ABC News reported on the unfolding developments.
From a meeting of a small group of people in a living room, today, the Association has become a well established neighbourhood community group in the City of Perth.
